Activision has officially revealed the next entry in its blockbuster franchise: Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War. Scheduled for release in October 2025, the game is being developed by Treyarch and promises a return to gritty, narrative-driven warfare set during one of the most tense periods in modern military history.

The campaign follows elite operatives navigating the geopolitical complexities of the early 1990s, with missions set across the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S. Players will experience a mix of covert operations and full-scale battles, featuring historically inspired weapons and technology from the Gulf War era. According to developers, the story will focus on the psychological cost of war and the blurred lines between heroism and betrayal — themes the Black Ops series is known for.
