從名古屋時裝學院畢業，阿部千登勢在大日本大型服裝公司 World 開啟設計師之路，隨後加入設計大師川久保玲創立的品牌 COMME des GARÇONS，擔任針織產品線的設計，以及版師的工作，8年的歷練為她此後創立自己品牌打下堅實基礎，同時川久保玲那套“創意與生意並無區別”的理念，也影響了她，從她的設計中，不難看出創意與實用的完美平衡。

在 COMME des GARÇONS 的8年也為阿部千登勢帶來了人生伴侶——同為設計師的阿部潤一，也是他，在女兒出生之後鼓勵阿部千登勢從傢庭主婦回歸設計的舞臺。

正是在傢帶女兒的這段時間，讓這位設計師明白時裝並不僅是為了閃光燈和晚會現場而生，女性在日常生活中角色的不停轉換間，如何做到花最少的時間，穿出自己的風格，同時又能舒適伸展？一手抱著女兒一手畫著手稿，Sacai 品牌誕生了，日語的意思是“世界”。

傳奇設計師 Jean Paul Gaultier 在去年3月宣佈退休，品牌接下來的所有系列都將交付給不同的設計師掌控，首個創意總監接班人的棒子就交到了阿部千登勢手裡。

Jean Paul Gaultier 2021/22秋冬高定系列中，阿部千登勢保留了品牌經典的元素，Madonna 演出時穿著的錐形胸衣、民俗夾克、水手條紋等結合解構手法，呈現了全新的 Jean Paul Gaultier。
